INSTALLTION GUIDELINES

All Muses Ceramic Grates are watermarked, rust proof and have 20-year UV protection warranty. Muses Ceramics installation guidelines are following the Australia Standards, AS 3740:2021, 3500.1:2021 & 3958-2007

Installation and care are very important for the maintenance of your grates.  Please read the instruction and care information before installing.

1.   Grates are to be installed by a licensed plumber.

2.   Grates, tile inserts, end caps & outlets are to be installed with silicone only.

3.   Grates are NOT to be installed with slurry, glue or any cement-based products.

4.   Grates are not to have direct contact with cement based or screeded cement products.

5.   Grates should be installed last after tiling, grouting and cleaning with direct stick of silicone only to waterproofing membrane.

6.   Silicone must be applied to grates and tile joint - no grout or cement-based products.

7.   Tiles used for tile inserts must be stuck into the body area with silicone only.

8.   Maintain with your everyday household cleaning products, do not use commercial grade or acid-based products for cleaning. Use a soft cloth for wiping. Household Domestos contains acid and will discolour your grates.

9.   Do not leave any metal objects, cement, cement-based or grout products on grates as this will cause discoloration and rust. If any cement-based products come in contact with your grate, clean instantly.

Choosing where to put your waste outlet is easy with our 80mm & 50mm hole saws. You can choose where you want your outlet to be located. Application of your waste and end caps is easily done with silicone. Waste outlet applies to the outside/underside of the grate / insert body.
